Wales Stena LineTeam For FBD Milk Ras. The Walsh National Cycling team to take part in the FBD MILK RAS will again this year carry the colours of Stena Ferry Line, the Official Maritime Carrier for the world-ranked 8 day international cycle race which starts from Dublin on Sunday 23rd May. Stena Line has a long association with the FBD MILK RAS and is responsible each year for the mammoth task of bringing teams from Scandinavia, Britain and continental Europe. Mr. Eamonn Hewitt Communications and PR Manager for Stena Line's Irish Sea Organisation said "Stena Line is delighted to support the FBD MILK RAS again this year. The Company has a relationship that goes back many years not only to the FBD MILK RAS but with Cycling Ireland also. We had the privilege of moving the Tour de France into and out of Ireland in 1998 and can appreciate the organisational complexity of an event such as the FBD MILK RAS so we congratulate Dermot Dignam and hid hard working team on their sterling efforts over the years. We are particularly delighted to have the Walsh National Team on board as three of our routes operate between Ireland and Wales so the synergy is obvious". Walsh riders have a tremendous record of forceful riding in the big Irish event and the team named by the Walsh Cycling Union for this year's race has the strength, experience and determination to enhance that record. Yanto Barker, Paul Shepperd, Huw Pritchard and Anthony Malarczyk, all experienced Ras riders and newcomer,22 year old David Crowley, have the firepower to give Wales Stena Line individual and team overall honours when the race finishes in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 30th.May. |
